3 Mason Jar Christmas Gift Ideas

Did you know you can put almost anything in a jar and it will look adorable. They are awesome home made gift ideas They are great teachers, neighbors, and friends.

Hot Cocoa Mason Jar

Here's what you'll need per 1 Pint Jar:

  • 1/2 Cup of Sugar
  • 4 Table spoons Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint or mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup of semi-sweet chocolate Chips

  • Add the layers in a 1 pint mason jar. Screw the lid on tight and decorate as desired.
To Prepare:
  • For individual servings, pour 1 cup whole milk (or your favorite milk alternative) into a microwave-safe mug, and microwave on high just until hot. Add 2 tablespoons of cocoa mix, and stir to dissolve.
  • For a larger batch of cocoa, warm 1/2 gallon of the milk in a saucepan set over medium-low heat, taking care not to let the milk boil; as it warms, stir in 2 tablespoons of mix for each cup of milk.
Teacher Gift
  • Grab items your teacher would love. I chose gum, advil, hand sanitizer, chapstick and I threw in a gift card to her favorite store. Tie a bow and there you go. How Cute.
Santa Mason Jar
  • Grab candy that's red or has a red wrapper and drop them in your mason jar. Take a piece of black ribbon and weave it throw a soda can top. This will make your buckle for Santa's suit. Use hot glue to secure the ribbon and you are done!

    Motivation Monday!

This post contains affiliate links which mean I may receive a small commission  at no cost to you if when you use the link.

I am going to share something that you may not believe because for the most part I am sure that I look like I have it all together . Well, here's the secret and this is just between me and you.

I do not have it all together all the time. Sometimes I let thoughts in my head that should not be there.

Thoughts like I am not good enough, Who am I to (insert bad thought here), I am not as crafty as the next person. I will never have a successful business.

Why do we as women give everyone in the world grace but hold ourselves to the most unreasonable expectations.

On this motivation Monday I challenge you to look at yourself how others see you and most importantly how God sees you.

While we all can be a "hot mess" sometimes I assure you that God does not make any mess that can't be cleaned up.

So , while I swallow little bit of medicine for myself I have a couple of things that can bring you a little bit of motivation and inspiration.

    1. Read Girl Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis. She has a way of inspiring and motivating to get put whatever funk you're in.
    2. If you ever get down check out a couple of inspirational podcasts on iTunes. I like The Jennifer Allwood Show. Her Monday Fire episodes get me going every time.
    3. Last but not least, I created a couple of motivational cards that you can use to remind yourself that you are awesome. You know just in case you forget. I like to put these cards in places where I will see them should I need a little bit of motivation. Like the bathroom mirror when I  first wake up or the change compartment of my car . That helps me on my way in to work or home.   Enter your information below here to have them delivered directly to  your inbox.
Remember ladies you deserve and are worthy of grace just as much as the next person.
      Til  next time stay crafty.

Summer Decorating Ideas For Your Front Door

      Pin Me !

I don't know about you but it feels like summer. My kids are home from school, we've cranked up the grill, and the neighborhood pool is open for business.  And OMG it is H-O-T hot outside. Even though the official first day of summer is still about a month away, I am declaring that summer has officially begun. Have you decorated your home for summer yet?

Here are some of my favorite trends for decorating your home inside and out this summer.

      1. Don't be Scared of a Little Color

A pop of color never hurt anyone and Summer is as good of a time as any to add some color to your front door. Whether it is a colorful Summer Wreath or Door Hanger.

      2.Fruit is trending

Fruit is not just for eating, it's also for decorating. And I'm not talking about your nana's fruit table centerpiece. I mean on your door. The top trending fruits for summer are lemons, watermelon, and pineapple!

      3. Welcome your Guests

What better way to let your guests know that they are welcome than to greet them with a Hello, Hi, or Welcome before they even reach your door.

      4. Paint Your Front Door

If you are tired of the dame old boring black door like I am, paint your front door htis Summer. I did a poll over on my Facebook page and was surprised to find out that many are skipping traditional door colors and opting for color. The most popular colors for doors were turquoise, red, gray, and navy.

      5. Revive your Welcome Mat

A quick fix to jazz up your front door is to add a welcome mat!. I am loving the trend of layering door mats.
Check out this post for inspriration on how to layer door your door mats and brighten up your front door.

      6. Monograms Never Go Out of Style

If you have followed me for any length of time, then you know I love monograms. They are timeless and can be used for any season. Did you know that you can change our the bow on our Circle Monogram Door Hangers. Let's say you have a white monogram door hange. One way to update your sign for summer is to change out the bow and add a bit of color to the sign.
